JOBS

LESSON PLAN

Age Group of the Students: 5-6
Number of the Students: 11
Time: 40 minutes
Topic: Jobs (tailor, carpenter, barber, policeman, postman, and cobbler)
Materials:  Projector, pictures,speaker,cardboard, worksheet

 OBJECTIVES
       By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify some jobs such as tailor, carpenter, barber, policeman, postman, and cobbler.
       By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the structure of “ he/ she is”.


LESSON PROCEDURE

WARM UP

Teacher greets to the class and repeats the previous lesson and teacher talks about her job and says that “I am a teacher and I have a book and pencil…”.

VOCABULARY TEACHING
After that, teacher shows pictures of jobs on presentation and she asks  “what are their jobs ?”. Teacher translates all anwers into English. Teacher provides that students notice the structure of he or she is. After this part, teacher repeats all jobs again and again.

VOCABULARY CHECK
Teacher distributes worksheet about jobs and teacher wants them to match the jobs with appropriate tools.



ACTIVITY  2( SONG)
Teacher plays a song about the jobs and teacher wants the students to listen and watch and to sing the song together.

ACTIVITY  3 (GAME)
Teacher wants students to play “a guessing game”. Teacher puts three pictures of tools about the jobs on the floor .Teacher shows the picture of a job and teacher wants them to choose appropriate tool for that job . The game goes on like that until all students participate. 
         
CONTINGENCY PLAN
Teacher gives the gift children .
