Numbers lesson plan




LESSON PLAN

Date: O3/04/2016

Age Group of the Students: 5-6

Number of the Students: 11

Time: 40 minutes

Topic: Numbers(1-10) / Talking about the age( how old are you? ı am..)

Materials:  pictures,projection, speaker,finger puppets, objects to wear



OBJECTIVES

       By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify numbers from 1 to 10 with pictures shown.

       By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the numbers while counting the objects and saying their ages.



LESSON PROCEDURE

WARM UP

Teacher greets to the class and repeat the previous lesson shortly.

After that, she asks the class how many children are there in the class by saying ''5?, 7?, 11?'' to stimulate their minds.and children try to guess how many children are there.and teacher says'' yes children we learn numbers(1, 2,3...10).





VOCABULARY TEACHING

Teacher asks students to say their age( how old are you? / ı am six years old.) by showing their fingers.

PRE ACTIVITY 

Teacher wears ten finger puppets, while teaching 1, she shows just one puppet and say '' 1 baby'' by showing the puppet and she have the puppet spoken like this. after that , she does the same in the second puppet. it goes on until the number '10'.




WHILE ACTIVITY  (SONG)

After repeating, teacher plays a video song ''one little dinosaur''. Children watch the video song.and after that, teacher sing the song and wants them to repeat .they sing the song all together.


POST ACTIVITY  (GAME)

Teacher have preapared objects for children to wear.there are numbers on it from 1 to 10(ıt can be 11 according to numbers of children). Teacher wants them to wear those objects. and then play a moving music .Children dance with the song. Teacher stops playing music and says any number like ''5'' and children try to find who wears the number ''5'' and give a hug to her/him. The game goes on like this.the songs and hat below:




CONTINGENCY PLAN

Teacher sings the song again with students.
