Lesson Plan for Story Telling



AGE GROUP: 6th Grade.
LEVEL OF PROFICIENCY: Beginner.
DURATION: 40 minute.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Pictures, Scissors, Stick, Worksheets.

Objectives;
At the end of the lesson,
1-) students will be able to recognize some new words; Princess, King, Queen, Monster, Dragon, Tower, Kidnap, Fiery Breath.
2-) The students will be familiar with the story of “The Princess and The Dragon.”
3-) Students will be able to recall the structures of simple past tense.
Aim: To make young learners familiar with the basic structure of simple past tense and teach them some new vocabulary.

Lesson title: Health
Equipment needed: Slides, board, board marker, worksheets , cardboards ,flashcards.
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson,
·         students will be able to identify at least 6 everyday illnesses  (stomachache , headache , fever , cold , backache , sore throat , toothache , cough)
·         students will be able to express illnesses by using “have got , has got”
·         students will be able to dramatize their illnesses.


INTRODUCTION
Warm up:
Teacher shows a picture to the students  and ask some questions about the picture. For example; Where are they? , Is he/she a doctor? , What is the problem?.  
Lead in:
The teacher dramatizes some illnesses and asks the names of them. Then paste the pictures on the board. After the teacher teaches the illnesses by making so many repetition, he/she gives the vocabulary activity.
Elicitation
The teacher gives example about her/him and paste a picture on the board and also give another example about her/him. The teacher connect the examples with “have got , has got”.


Explanation
The teacher explains the positive form of  have got has got.
Activity 1:
The teacher distributes a worksheet to the students. In this worksheet students write the correct form of “have got has got”.
Activity 2:
In this activity, students choose a picture and mime it to the class. The class guess the illness. The teacher helps  students make a sentences with it.
Contingency:
The teacher gives another worksheet to the students.


Closure: At the end of the lesson, the teacher reminds the structure of “have got/has got”
