lesson plan-wild animals

LESSON PLAN

Time: 20
Lesson Title : Wild animals
Equipment Needed : Worksheets, animals’ masks, flash cards

Objectives/Goals :

1) By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify nine wild animals (bear, deer, lion, tiger, giraffe, elephant, snake, monkey, fox)
2) By the end of the lesson, students will be able to make simple suggestions by using ‘should’ and ‘should not’.
LESSON PROCEDURES:
Warm-Up: 2’ : Teacher asks whether students love animals. Thus, teacher tries to catch students’ attention. Teacher listen to answer and she understand what they know about the animal, which animals are known.
Vocabulary: Teacher shows a slide on the smart board. Then, teacher sticks vocabulary cards on the board. Students come to the board and try to match wild animals’ picture and their names.
While stage:
Teacher shows should/shouldn’t sentences. Teacher writes some sentences on the board about wild animals. Structures of these sentences consist of should and shouldn’t.
Activity 1: Teacher hands out a worksheet and wants the students to fill in the blanks with ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’.

Assessment:
At the end of the worksheet, teacher wants the students to write their own suggestions.

Activity 2: Some students come to the board and they wear their animals’ masks other students close their eyes and open only one finger. Then students-animals walk around the class then they close only one finger. Everyone open eyes and start to guess which animal did close my finger?




Contingency:  Teacher plays a song that practice animals’ sounds.

Lesson Plan- Nationalities and Countries

Level of proficiency: Beginner
Lesson title: Countries and Nationalities
Equipment needed: Slides, board, board marker, worksheets, cardboards.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson students will be able to;
-Identify at least 10 countries (England, France, Germany, Greece, Indıa, Italy, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Spain)
-Identify at least 10 nationalities (Turkish, English, French, German, Indıan, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish)
-Distinguish nationalities and countries.
-Ask questions about countries and nationalities.
STAGES OF LESSON:
1-Lead-in (introduction):
Teacher asks the students “where do we live in? What comes in your mind when I say countries? “  They answer the questions “Turkey” etc. and teacher says yes we live in Turkey and we are Turkish.
2-Elicitation:
Teacher opens the PowerPoint and she shows the names of the countries and asks your students “where are we from?” students answer the question. Then teacher asks same question about other countries.


3) Explanation:

Teacher pastes the some pictures on the board and she writes “where is she from?” “she is from turkey”. “What nationality is he? He is Turkish.” Teacher writes the  another countries and nationalities by asking students the same questions.
ACTIVITY 1
Teacher gives the students worksheet. In this worksheet teacher asks the students to match the nationalities with correct countries. Then teacher checks the answer.
ACTIVITY 2
Teacher gives students another worksheet. In this worksheet, there is a reading text and activities that are connected with the text.
ACTIVITY 3
The teacher gives students headbands. The names of the countries are written on it. The students come to the board and make a dialog according to the names of the countries that is written on the headband.
CONTINGENCY PLAN
The teacher gives another worksheet to the students.

Wild animals lesson plan for kindergarten

WILD ANIMALS
LESSON PLAN
Duration: 40 minutes
Grade: Kindergarten
Number of Ss: 25
Materials: Crayons, pictures, scissors, binoculars, different meterials, a signboard of animals, power point presentation
Lesson Title: Wild Animals
Skills: Listening, vocabulary, speaking
Context: An explorer in the jungle
Vocabulary Teaching:
ü Teacher selects 5 vocabularies to teach. (bear,crocodile,snake,lion,eagle)
ü Then Teacher wants Ss to repeat after him/ her. T gives the abilities of animals.
Vocabulary Activity:
1.    Teacher pastes the animal cards on the board. Students try to show the correct animal  said by the teacher.

2.    The Ss repeat the vocabularies  all together.




Art and Craft:
1.    T shows uncolored pictures to the Ss and says them to color.
2.    T hands out the art and craft package.First; Ss color the given pictures individually and then they paste the materials to use after in the song.
Song:
1.Listening: T plays the song for the first time, meanwhile; Ss listen to the song and try to understand it.T shows the movements.
2.Listening: T watches the students with binoculars.
3.Listening: Repeatition of the second one.

Game: Stop and Say
1.    T uses a funny song.
2.    The class makes a circle.
3.    The signboard passes from hand to hand.
4.    T stops the song suddenly.
5.    T says a wild animal name and the student holding the signboard, signs the correct picture.

6.    T continues the activity for other animals.

PICTURES THAT ARE USED FOR ART & CRAFT ACTIVITY
